Easterbrooks 1 Hours: Summer: Seven days a week, 9am - 10pm Winter: Seven days a week, 9am - 8pm
Many restaurants strive to recreate a nostalgic fifties feel. At Easterbrooks, the fifties feel is authentic. From the Hi-Fi jukebox to the wooden booths that bear hundreds of patiently carved names and vows of love, Easterbrooks has character to spare. Covered in business cards commemorating thousands of dates and visits, and decorated with old vintage photographs, even the walls speak. Authentic promotional signs dating back half a century dot the premises as do antique soda bottles (some still filled with orange pop or cola)-many featuring brand names long since forgotten. In 1930 Ray Easterbrooks' grandmother opened a fruit stand to serve traffic on highway 2 between Toronto and Hamilton. With cold drink sales booming, the fruit got moved outside and a tea room opened up followed by a restaurant shortly thereafter. Today, some customers are in their sixties and first came here with their parents. At
Easterbrooks, the staff is friendly, portions of food and ice cream are
generous, and prices are affordable. And with a spacious, grassy outdoor
eating area, whether you gobble up a Belly Buster footlong, sink your
teeth into a four-patty Home Run Burger, or linger over a waffle cone of
caramel turtle fudge, you'll feel as comfortable as you would in your own
backyard. Come see us this summer for a real Easterbrooks
experience!
