Summer: Seven days a week, 7:00am - 9:30pm Calling Hogan's Hutch a french fry truck is like calling a hot
fudge banana split sundae a dessert. Why? Because when you're as popular
with as many people as Hogan's is, you develop a presence and an identity
that extends above and beyond the products you provide. Although Hogan's
serves veggie burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches and other fast food items
(including french fries of course!), ice cream is by far the biggest
seller. Perched behind Murphy's restaurant at the top of Port Dalhousie's
big hill, the view from Hogan's Hutch takes in the lake shore, the
nostalgic town below, and the famous "Nickel Carousel"-an antique carousel
that still costs only a nickel to ride. Hogan's is every bit as beloved as
the carousel. Local schools come to town just for the carousel and ice
cream. Tourists and participants in the many rowing regattas, motorcycle,
car, and pet shows make Hogan's a part of each and every occasion. Local
families out for a weekend picnic and members of church groups never fail
to make an appearance. A family-run business into only its second
ownership in 18 years, Hogan's Hutch serves only the finest ice cream. On
