Murphy's Hours:
Summer: 7 days a week, 11am - 11pm Given that the village of Streetsville is one of the oldest towns in Canada, it may seem odd that one of the best-known landmarks is an ice cream parlour tucked away in a building that was once the garage of the house next door. Of course to locals who've been going there for twenty years, there's nothing strange about it at all. Where else in Streetsville can you find a bustling patio, sixteen flavours of hard ice cream, a wide selection of sundaes, splits, floats, milkshakes, and frozen yogurt, plus a friendly, outgoing staff led by owner Frank Belmonte? Only two minutes from the Credit River, with several local high schools, a park and a community centre nearby, Murphy's quickly fills up with people when the weather is nice. Families, high school students and couples meet regularly for ice cream or espresso coffees. Tourists stop in during historical candlelight walks around town. Streetsville's Bread and Honey Festival in early June attracts 60 - 70,000 people for live entertainment, amusement rides, a petting zoo, and an amazing selection of local crafts. For the Jazz Festival in August, Murphy's even has its own jazz band out on the patio for your enjoyment. Some days it seems like everyone in town has got a Murphy's ice cream cone in hand! No wonder this ice cream parlour is a Streetsville icon. HOME | PARLOUR NAME | LOCATIONS | MAP | KEYWORD SEARCH
