A truly Canadian experience, Muskoka Trading Post dates back to the days when Highway 11 wasn't a highway at all-just a rutted, dusty road. Though time has marched on and Muskoka has become one of the country's best-loved vacation spots, the Trading Post has remained in the same place even though, like neighbouring Gravenhurst, MTP has grown a great deal in the meantime. Nonetheless, the original atmosphere pervades MTP today: the log cabin-style structure has a beamed ceiling and all wooden floors. Inside you'll find a wide selection of milkshakes, fresh fruit sundaes, ice cream served in waffle cones, and a variety of light foods, including chili dogs and real subs prepared with fresh deli meats, cheeses and market veggies. Enjoy your favourite taste on the cool, relaxing patio.

A great place for ice cream, Muskoka Trading Post is best known for its gift shop where over ten thousand Canadiana gift items can be purchased including native crafts and local artisan-made gifts. Located near Gravenhurst, MTP is an essential part of a wonderful Muskoka summer. Combine a visit with a ride on the Seguin Steamship. Visit the popular Dockside Festival in August, or Music on the Barge every summer Sunday evening. There are Antique Boat and Car Shows as well as a spectacular airshow. It's not a question of whether or not you should visit, it's a question of when. See us on the web at www.MuskokaTradingPost.com.
